Dr. Cecil F. Bennett Jr., a Family Physician, is the founder of Nu Body and Face Aesthetics and a graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine. Dr. Bennett served as Chief Resident during his family medicine residency at Morehouse, served on the medical school’s Board of Trustees and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He has been in private practice for over 20 years.
During that time in practice, he recognized the link between “Physiological”, “Psychological” and “Physical Appearance” health. Physiological health describes the “chemical balance” of a patient. Psychological health describes the “mental health” of an individual. Physical Appearance health describes the “body perception” of a person. All these areas work together to determine health.
A person’s lab results may look great, but their perception of a physical blemish can affect their mental health. This is the value of non-invasive aesthetics. Addressing those “blemishes” improves physical appearance health and thus improves mental health. In his years of practicing, Dr. Bennett realized that women understood this balance more than men. Nu Body gives Dr. Bennett an opportunity to address physical health, with the ability to prescribe medication, refer, and counsel clients regarding mental health.
